I would like to extend an invitation to all Hawaiian islands residence to get involved in preparations. Hurricane season is at the halfway point and it's not over yet. With Hurricane Felicia looming and heading our way it's a good idea to get in gear and start preparing all around.
Whether or not this one hits we still should all be prepared and on our toes, eye's wide open and ears percolating. Better to have a plan than no plan at all. Don't wait till the last minute either you'll be very sorry if you do. Yesterday, I heard that Longs stores ran out of water. As the Hurricane approaches hopefully it will downgrade into a tropical depression which will leave us with quite a bit of rain. This coming weekend ahead of us will be a cautious one, stores are beginning to see an upswing in sales of emergency supplies and the like.
What ever the outcome, stay informed, prepared and aware of what is going on not only in our state but other states as well. Until then, be safe.

Another Big Canadian Welcome to you Aloha2U...very glad to have you aboard!
Aloha Kymber,
Thank you so much for having me. The APN and CPN is the greatest, informative website I have ever come across. It's all about self-reliance and helping people spanning across the nation. Once again my heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of you.
Welcome! Great first post!

Aloha2U - I have a favour. Myself, Phelan, Ernie and Prepared in TN are going to be on the Family Preparedness Guide Radio Show tomorrow and we want to get the word out to as many as possible. I have posted about it on the CPN and am trying to get people to post it on their networks as well. Her is the link to the post: http://canadianpreppersnetwork.blogspot.com/2009/08/ladies-will-be-on-family-preparedness.html
Can you copy it and post it here for us? If so, thanks so much!
Welcome to the Network Aloha!
Hi SciFiChick-Wished I could have made the radio show, had to work. Been prepping for the coming tropical storm or depression, what ever is left of Hurricane Felicia. Our state is expecting torrential rains, heavy flooding and high gusts of winds by today, going into tuesday and wednesday as well. The last time I saw this type of rains was a few years ago when it rained for 40 days and nights straight non-stop.
